Together, We Can Make a Difference

There are many ways to help ensure everyone in Centre Wellington has access to good food and support.

Volunteer

Whether you choose to volunteer, donate, host a food drive, or partner with us, your support directly impacts families in our community. Every act of kindness — big or small — helps us share good food, compassion, and hope with our neighbours.

A smiling woman in glasses and a black apron cuts cooked chicken on a stainless steel table in a kitchen or community kitchen setting, with other women working and preparing food around her.

Our volunteers are the backbone of everything we do — greeting clients, stocking shelves, driving our van, preparing meals, and much more. Whether you can commit to one shift or help occasionally, you’ll be welcomed and valued.

Opportunities: short term, long term, groups and youth.

  • Bring your school, workplace, community group or faith-organization together and host a food drive or fundraising event. We’ll work with you to make it simple, effective and engaging.

Tips for Hosting a Food Drive or Fundraiser:

    • Let us know your plans! Email info@cwfoodbank.org and we’ll provide crates and promotional materials.

    • Arrange a drop-off time in advance so our team can be ready to receive donations.

    • Need help with pickup? We can collect items after your event if scheduled ahead of time.

    • Remind participants to donate items that have not passed their Best Before Date.

    • Ask us for a list of our Most Needed Items at the time of your drive.

    • Consider choosing a theme (e.g., pasta, breakfast foods) to make giving fun and motivating.

  • Every share counts. Talk about us with friends, neighbours and co-workers.

Follow us on social media, subscribe to our newsletter, or invite us to speak at your community group.

Awareness helps us reach more people and build stronger support.
