Impact

Together, we’re creating a stronger, more food-secure community.

A group of young people wearing hockey jerseys and winter clothing standing on a snow-covered street, holding signs that read "FOOD COLLECTION for CW FOOD BANK," participating in a community event near a decorated vehicle with holiday decorations, including a small Christmas tree and a snowman figurine.

Every grocery shop, every hour volunteered, and every donation made reflects the power of neighbours helping neighbours.

impact report

Each year, the Centre Wellington Food Bank supports thousands of individuals and families across our community — providing nutritious food, friendly connection, and hope for brighter days. But the true impact goes beyond numbers: it’s in the conversations, the dignity restored, and the collective care that makes our community stronger. Learn more about our work, achievements, and the difference your support makes in our Annual Impact Report.

Our Programs

Grocery

Inside a thrift store or retail section, decorated for Christmas with Santa hats on jackets and stockings hanging on clothing racks. There are winter coats, vegetables like cabbages and turnips on tables, and various household items on shelves.

Each month, households are welcomed to a dignified, choice-based grocery shop that empowers families, respects individual needs, and minimizes food waste.

Community Pantry

Indoor community food bank with shelves of bread, snacks, and frozen items, a table with bread loaves, and a brick wall with a Service Canada Clinic sign and Christmas decorations.

In partnership with local groups, we’re expanding food access by stocking community pantries with nourishing food each month.

Kitchen

Three people in a kitchen volunteering for Food Explorers. The woman in the foreground wears a red shirt and green apron, holding a loaf of bread in a plastic bag. The woman in the middle, with gray hair, wears a plaid shirt and red checkered apron, standing beside a man with a bald head and gray beard. They are preparing food at a counter with various kitchen tools.

Using reclaimed food and donations, our team prepares nutritious, ready-to-eat meals in our kitchen for clients to take home through our grocery program.

Food Recovery & Reclamation

A grocery store checkout counter with various food items in black plastic crates including bread, lettuce, and packaged products. In the background, there are colorful plastic crates stacked on each other and a whiteboard with a list of kitchen needs and desires.

Our food rescue program recovers surplus food from local sources, reducing waste and delivering nutritious food to those in need.

Specialty Programs & Projects
